We offer fantastic career building opportunities within a firm sized for a more personalized, individual-value based model and work experience, in contrast to larger, decentralized, and organization-focused CPA firms. Based in Woburn, Massachusetts, and with a satellite office in Hopedale, Massachusetts, our clients are located primarily throughout eastern and central Massachusetts. We are looking to fill a new position for a recent college graduate to 1-year experienced auditor. There is great professional growth potential for a person looking to develop their audit skills and accounting career. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service to our audit clients, as well as a supportive, team-based environment for learning and interaction opportunities amongst our associates. Our firm is almost entirely comprised of audit and attestation services, so this position is most ideal for an individual looking to focus their career on auditing/accounting rather than taxation. Please note that while our primary office is in Woburn, our client base is spread throughout Massachusetts primarily in the northern, southern, eastern and central areas. Our audit work is performed via a hybrid mix remotely within our offices and on-site client locations; periodic opportunities to work at home occasionally may also exist. Accordingly, interested candidates located anywhere in that geographical area are encouraged to apply, as the firm can be flexible with regards to primary office assignment and for convenience relative to travel to clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparation of audit work papers and analysis of client information Assist with preparation of audited or reviewed client financial statements and other compliance reporting Work with clients to obtain necessary supporting documentation and clarification of questions that arise during the audit Will report directly to mid-level senior staff and/or partners on a client-by-client basis
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor degree in Accounting
  • no other degree is an optional substitution (Master degree in Accounting is preferable but respondents with at or near 150+ credit hours will also be highly considered) 0
  • 1 years of public accounting experience A CPA or CPA interested person is preferred but not required Willing and capable to commute frequently to various client location sites within Massachusetts Person must be self-motivated and have a dedicated work ethic Desire to work within a positive, team environment Willing to learn, implement, and adapt to well-established firm audit practices and procedures Computer experience with Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat•experience with ProSystem fx Engagement and UltraTax CS is a plus but not required Strong and well-developed, English writing/grammar skills and verbal communication Analytical and data evaluation abilities to enhance problem solving tasks Employer does NOT sponsor applicants for work visas
Compensation:
