Job Description

Audit Manager | Tyler, TX | $120,000 to $150,000 If you have reached Audit Manager level in public accounting and are starting to question whether the next step really needs to mean more layers, more politics, and less control over your working life, this could be worth a look. This is an opportunity to join an independent mid market CPA firm with around 150 people across three offices in Texas. The firm is established enough to offer a strong client base and genuine long term career potential, but still small enough for senior people to stay close to the work, the clients, and the Partners making decisions. For an Audit Manager, that creates a different kind of opportunity. You are not just managing engagements inside a large structure. You have the chance to be visible, build meaningful relationships with Partners, have greater ownership of your client work, and play a more noticeable role in the wider success of the team. The client portfolio includes nonprofit organizations, financial services businesses, and general commercial clients, giving you a varied mix of work rather than pushing you too far into one narrow specialism. That breadth should appeal to someone who enjoys the technical side of audit but also wants to keep developing as a trusted client contact and senior member of the firm. The role is office based in Tyler, TX, with flexible working hours available outside busy season. The firm has built a reputation internally around maintaining a strong work life balance, which should appeal if you still enjoy public accounting but want a more sustainable environment for the next stage of your career. This could be a strong fit if you are already operating at Audit Manager level and want a firm where you can stay close to clients, work directly with Partners, have your contribution recognised, and continue progressing without disappearing into a much larger corporate structure.
Compensation:
$120,000 to $150,000 You do not need to be unhappy where you are for this to be worth exploring. If you are doing well in your current firm but wondering whether there is a better long term fit in Tyler, I can give you more context on the team, the Partners, and what the opportunity looks like before you decide whether to apply. Call me on 972 807 7244. I am usually available from 6AM CT most days. INDTEX2
