Job Description

- This job works as a consulting team member on client or internal assignments.
- Education
- Required
- High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in information technology (IT), computer science, health information management (HIM) or related field.
- Work Experience
- Required
- 5 years of experience working in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center (ASC) as a coder required including experience in consulting and in client facing positions.
- Certifications
- Required
- Certification as Registered Health Information Administrator, Registered Health Information Technician, Certified Coding Specialist, Certified Coding Specialist-Physician based, Certified Professional Coder, Licensed Practical Nurse, OR Registered Nurse.
- Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- + Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications including Microsoft Office Applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, and Visio.
- Job Duties
- + Participates in hospital revenue cycle assessments and process improvement engagements.

The incumbent has no occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases.
