Job Description

Job Title:
Senior Cyber Security Controls Assessor III (IAM Compliance & ITGC) Role Overview We are seeking an analytical, meticulous, and experienced Senior Cyber Security Controls Assessor III to execute Identity and Access Management (IAM) compliance testing and IT General Controls (ITGC) evaluations. In this role, you will partner closely with IT, security, and internal/external audit teams throughout testing cycles to validate control design, assess operating effectiveness, and drive compliance with NIST framework principles. This is a critical security and compliance role for an independent professional who excels at technical IT auditing. You will lead control walkthroughs, draft audit-ready documentation, analyze complex datasets using advanced Excel techniques, identify control deficiencies, and guide remediation efforts to closure. If you possess a strong background in IAM compliance testing and ITGC frameworks, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Control Testing & Compliance Execution
    Testing Lifecycle Management:
    Plan and execute comprehensive IT compliance testing activities, including structured walkthroughs, detailed control testing, and results reporting.
      Walkthroughs & Design Validation:
      Conduct complex control walkthroughs with system owners, validate control design effectiveness, and document clear, audit-ready narratives.
        Evidence Review:
        Review test plans, supporting evidence, and workpapers to ensure rigorous alignment with Internal Audit standards and regulatory frameworks.
          Deficiency & Remediation Tracking:
          Identify IT control gaps and deficiencies, provide actionable remediation guidance, and track corrective action plans (CAPs) to successful closure. Data Analysis & Stakeholder Partnership
            Data-Driven Evaluation:
            Develop data analysis and reporting outputs using advanced spreadsheet techniques (pivot tables, complex formulas, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP) to substantiate testing conclusions.
              Cross-Functional Collaboration:
              Partner effectively with IT, security teams, and external auditors during active testing cycles to ensure timely and complete evidence collection.
                Continuous Readiness:
                Help maintain a continuous state of audit readiness by reviewing evolving security controls and supporting internal compliance initiatives. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum Qualifications
                  Education:
                  Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
                    Experience Baseline:
                    Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in IT Audit, IT Compliance, or Information Security, specifically focusing on ITGC and NIST-aligned testing.
                      Technical & Framework Mastery:
                      o Strong working knowledge of IT compliance requirements, control concepts, and modern audit methodologies. o Hands-on experience supporting IAM control testing, including planning, execution, and reporting. o Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (pivot tables, lookup functions, complex formulas).
                        Core Competencies:
                        Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and lead workstreams under tight deadlines; confident communicator engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Attributes
                        • Professional industry certifications (e.g., CISA, CRISC, CISSP).
                        • Experience auditing or testing controls within major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
                        • Practical familiarity with GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) tools and audit management software. Logistics & Operational Parameters
                        Work Arrangement:
                        Hybrid model (local candidates required for on-site collaboration as needed).
                          Equipment:
                          Client laptop provided (with supplier-provided device fallback available in case of delivery delays); candidate must provide a personal or supplier-provided docking station for home office setup.
