What you will doLead end-to-end audit engagements
- pre-planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, and final reporting
- for Non-Profit entities and EBPs (401(k), 403(b), and union plans)Ensure strict compliance with ERISA, GAAP, and applicable regulatory standards on every engagementSupervise, coach, and conduct performance reviews for audit staff at all levels, building a high-performing team culturePresent audit findings, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations directly to executive leadership and audit committeesDesign and execute testing methodologies to evaluate internal control adequacy and identify operational or financial riskServe as the primary client relationship owner for a portfolio of Non-Profit and EBP clients, supporting retention and growthCollaborate with firm leadership on practice development, methodology updates, and technical training initiativesWhat you needActive CPA license (required)10+ years of progressive external audit experience in public accountingDemonstrated expertise conducting Non-Profit and Employee Benefit Plan audits3-5 years leading or supervising audit teamsExpert working knowledge of GAAP, ERISA, and internal control frameworksNice to haveExperience with audit management software such as CaseWare or ProSystem fxFamiliarity with data analytics tools applied to audit proceduresMaster's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldExperience presenting to boards of directors or audit committeesPay and benefitsBase salary: $145,000•$185,000 per year, commensurate with experience401(k) with company matchingComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insuranceGenerous PTO plus paid holidaysContinuing Professional Education (CPE) support and tuition reimbursementLocation and scheduleBaltimore, MD•Hybrid2-3 days on-site per week; standard business hours, Monday-Friday.
