5+ years of public accounting experience Job Summary A well-established, mid-size CPA firm in San Jose is seeking an Audit Manager with a strong background in Venture Capital. This hybrid role allows you to lead high-performing teams while managing a premier portfolio of venture capital clients, funds, and tech start-ups. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage financial statement audits from planning to completion for Venture Capital funds and portfolio companies. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing technical accounting advice on complex valuation and investment transactions. Supervise, mentor, and review the work of senior and staff accountants to foster professional growth. Research and resolve complex accounting and auditing issues under US GAAP and GAAS guidelines. Coordinate with firm leadership to optimize engagement efficiency, profitability, and billing metrics. Must-Have Qualifications 5 or more years of progressive public accounting audit experience. Deep technical strength auditing Venture Capital funds, private equity, or high-growth tech entities. Proven experience managing audit engagements and supervising professional staff.
