A Quality Auditor plays a critical role in ensuring products, processes, and systems comply with established quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. For a manufacturing environment, the ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working within a structured quality management system and conducting process-based audits.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Quality Auditor is responsible for conducting audits of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and operational procedures to ensure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards. This role supports continuous improvement initiatives by identifying nonconformances, evaluating process effectiveness, and recommending corrective and preventive actions. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience working within a manufacturing quality management system and a strong understanding of quality management systems and audit methodologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform internal process, product, and system audits and inspections in accordance with established audit schedules and quality standards. Evaluate compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, including
ISO 9001, IATF
16949, AS9100, UL1563, or other applicable standards. Prepare audit plans, checklists, reports, and supporting documentation. Identify nonconformances, process gaps, and areas for improvement. Verify effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and ensure timely closure of audit findings. Review manufacturing, inspection, testing, and quality records for compliance with procedures and specifications. Collaborate with production, engineering, supply chain, and other members of the quality team to resolve quality and/or process issues. Participate in root cause analysis activities utilizing methodologies such as 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, or Six Sigma tools. Support certification body, and regulatory audits as required. Monitor adherence to eFlex processes, documented procedures, work instructions, and quality requirements throughout both facilities. Assist in maintaining audit programs, audit metrics, and quality performance indicators. Foster and cultivate respectful working relationships among the Quality, Production, Production Engineering, and Product Development departments to collectively achieve our quality goals. Provide guidance and training to line leads and employees on quality system requirements and audit readiness. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
REQUIREMENTS
Associate's degree in quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field. 3-5 years of experience working within a quality management system in a manufacturing environment. Experience conducting internal audits of manufacturing processes and quality systems. Working knowledge of applicable quality standards such as
ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, ISO
13485, UL1563, or similar. Understanding of quality tools and methodologies including: Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) Statistical Process Control (SPC) Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) Control Plans 5 Why Analysis Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
