Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Co-op student to join our team. This position offers hands-on experience in audit and assurance engagements across various industries. You'll work closely with senior team members to support client engagements and develop key technical and professional skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role is specifically available for UVM GSB students.
Responsibilities:
Assist in performing audits, reviews, and compilations for clients in a variety of industries Prepare working papers and document audit and assurance procedures in accordance with firm standards Perform account reconciliations and analytical procedures Conduct research on accounting and tax issues and assist in drafting client correspondence Participate in client meetings and site visits, as needed Maintain organized and accurate client files and documentation Collaborate with team members to meet engagement deadlines and deliver high-quality work
Qualifications:
Enrolled in a Bachelor of Accounting program (3rd or 4th year preferred) Intention to pursue CPA designation is a strong asset Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals (ASPE/IFRS and audit/tax concepts) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word Excellent written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities Team-oriented with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
Working Conditions:
Ability to sit and use computers for extended periods of time Ability to provide own transportation for traveling to client assignments This position starts in January and ends at the end of April Please upload an unofficial copy of your transcript when submitting your application.
