This pivotal role combines expert estimating skills with effective management, ensuring seamless communication between customers, technicians, and insurance companies. Duties Accurately assess vehicle damage using computer-aided estimating software and manual methods to prepare detailed repair estimates. Lead and supervise the body shop team, including service technicians and collision repair specialists, to ensure timely and quality repairs. Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair processes, timelines, and cost estimates to enhance customer experience and satisfaction. Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire service, suspension repairs, brake repairs, shocks & struts, transmissions, and other maintenance or repair needs to maximize shop revenue. Coordinate with insurance adjusters and clients to facilitate smooth claims processing and approvals. Oversee daily shop operations including parts ordering, cash handling, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Maintain detailed records of all repairs, estimates, client interactions, and shop activities for reporting and quality assurance purposes. Skills Extensive experience with auto estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics, collision repair, and general auto service management. Proven ability in upselling services such as oil changes, tire service, suspension work, shocks & struts, brake repairs, transmissions, and other automotive repairs. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients regarding vehicle condition and repair options. Dealership experience or familiarity with auto service operations is highly desirable. Knowledge of automotive repair procedures including oil changes, tire rotations, suspension diagnostics, brake system repairs, shocks & struts replacement. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining professionalism at all times. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving various vehicle types is preferred.
