Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic automotive team as an Auto Body Estimator, where your expertise will drive exceptional customer service and accurate damage assessments. In this vital role, you will evaluate vehicle repairs, prepare detailed estimates, and communicate effectively with clients, insurance adjusters, and technicians. Your mechanical knowledge and estimating skills will ensure seamless collision repair processes, helping customers get back on the road quickly and confidently. We are committed to fostering a positive environment that values your skills and dedication. State of Connecticut damage appraiser license required. Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess repair needs and determine scope of work Prepare detailed, accurate estimates using advanced estimating software and industry standards Communicate clearly with customers, insurance companies, and technicians to explain repair procedures and costs Identify opportunities for upselling additional services such as alignments, tire services, or suspension repairs to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership revenue Collaborate with mechanics and service technicians to ensure repair plans are feasible and efficient Maintain comprehensive documentation of estimates, repair orders, and client interactions Assist with vehicle diagnostics when necessary to identify underlying mechanical issues beyond collision damage Experience Proven experience in auto estimating within a dealership or collision repair environment Strong mechanical background with hands-on mechanic experience preferred Familiarity with estimating software such as CCC ONE, Mitchell, or equivalent tools Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, transmissions, oil changes, brake repairs, shocks & struts, suspension systems, wheel alignments, tire services, and other auto repair procedures Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly Experience in auto service management or service writing is a plus Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive company vehicles when needed Join us if you're passionate about automotive repair and eager to deliver top-tier service! Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
