Job Description

Position Overview:
  • Shepards's Automotive Center is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented in-house Auto Body Damage Appraiser to join our team at our 4 Parker Street location.
In this position you will be the primary point of contact for our customers and insurance partners. Your main goal is to provide accurate vehicle damage appraisals using CCC ONE software, to secure repair approvals and coordinate workflow with our shop technicians to insure high-quality timely repairs.
Responsibilities:
  • Visually examine vehicles to access full extent of structural, cosmetic and mechanical collision damage.
  • Utilize CCC ONE software to write comprehensive, accurate and itemized damage reports regarding body labor, painting and replacement parts.
  • Submit initial insurance claims data, process supplements efficiently through CCC ONE and negotiate repair costs directly with insurance adjusters.
  • Guide vehicle owners through the repair process, explain appraisals clearly and provide regular progress updates.
  • Collaborate with body technicians and painters to verify parts availability and ensure the work aligns with the approved repair plan
Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience in automotive collision appraising or insurance estimating.
  • Proficiency and recent experience using CCC ONE software is strictly required.
  • Deep understanding of vehicle construction, framing, structural repair standards and automotive paint processes.
  • Strong communication skills to handle insurance adjusters and client relations under pressure.

Full-time Pay:
$65,500.00 - $90,500.00 per year
