Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Body Shop Estimator to join our automotive collision repair team. In this key role, you will serve as a point of contact for customers seeking collision repairs and vehicle restoration services. Your expertise will be essential in accurately assessing vehicle damage, preparing repair estimates, and coordinating communication between customers, technicians, and insurance providers. Responsibilities Perform thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to accurately assess repair needs, including collision damage, mechanical components, suspension, brakes, alignments, tires, shocks and struts, and other related systems. Prepare accurate, detailed repair estimates using industry-standard estimating software such as CCC ONE and Mitchell. Clearly explain repair recommendations, timelines, and costs to customers. Collaborate with body and mechanical technicians to ensure estimates accurately reflect all necessary repairs. Work closely with the front office to maintain clear, timely communication with customers and insurance companies throughout the repair process. Coordinate with insurance adjusters to obtain claim approvals and facilitate efficient claims processing. Maintain accurate repair documentation, estimate revisions, and customer records. Perform quality control inspections throughout the repair process, including documenting repairs with in-process photos, to ensure repairs meet company and manufacturer standards. Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, OEM repair standards, and industry regulations while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Qualifications Previous estimating experience in a dealership or independent collision repair facility is required. I-CAR Gold Class certification required; Platinum certification preferred. Proficiency with collision estimating software, including CCC ONE and Mitchell. Strong knowledge of collision repair procedures and automotive systems, including mechanical repairs, engines, transmissions, suspension, brakes, steering, alignments, tires, and related components. Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly and professionally. Thorough understanding of collision damage analysis, repair planning, and insurance repair processes. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Ability to multitask and effectively manage multiple repair files in a fast-paced environment. Why Join Our Team?
