Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Collision Estimator with proven experience in automotive damage assessment and repair planning. In this dynamic role, you will evaluate vehicle damage, prepare accurate estimates, and communicate effectively with customers, insurance adjusters, and repair teams. Your expertise in collision repair processes, mechanical systems, and estimating software will drive customer satisfaction and streamline repair operations. Duties Assess vehicle damage thoroughly using computer-aided estimating tools and manual inspection techniques Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates for collision repairs, including parts, labor, and materials Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair scope, costs, and timelines to ensure transparency and satisfaction Collaborate with technicians, body shop staff, and insurance adjusters to facilitate efficient repair processes Upsell additional services such as mechanical repairs or maintenance when appropriate to enhance customer value Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, repairs, and client interactions in dealership or shop management systems Assist with vehicle diagnostics related to collision damage and recommend necessary repairs such as brake work, suspension, or tire service Qualifications Proven experience as a Collision Estimator or Service Writer within an automotive dealership or collision repair facility Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including transmissions, shocks & struts, suspension components, and oil changes Proficiency with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Knowledge of auto service management practices including cash handling and sales techniques Automotive diagnostics experience is highly desirable to accurately assess complex repairs Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive company vehicles as needed Join our team if you're passionate about automotive repair and eager to deliver top-tier collision estimation services!
