Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Experience Estimator for our busy bodyshop to join our team! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for customers needing collision repair estimates, providing expert guidance and exceptional service. Your automotive knowledge, combined with your ability to communicate clearly and confidently, will ensure accurate assessments and seamless customer experiences. Duties Conduct thorough vehicle inspections using computer-aided estimating software to assess damage accurately Communicate clearly with customers, explaining repair procedures, costs, and timelines to foster trust and confidence Prepare detailed repair estimates for collision damage, including parts, labor, and additional services such as mechanical repairs or maintenance Upsell additional services like oil changes, tire services, suspension work, brake repairs, shocks & struts, transmissions, or other vehicle maintenance needs Collaborate with technicians and mechanics to verify repair scopes and ensure estimates align with actual work required Manage client communication throughout the repair process, providing updates and addressing questions promptly Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently while maintaining accurate records Requirements Proven experience in auto estimating or collision repair environments; dealership experience is a plus Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and repair procedures Proficiency with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools Knowledge of automotive service management systems and service writing processes Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly Automotive repair experience including oil changes, tire service, suspension work, brake repairs, shocks & struts, transmissions or similar services Dealership or collision repair shop background preferred; experience in auto service management is advantageous Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust Cash handling experience and attention to detail in financial transactions Join us as an Experience Estimator and become a key player in delivering outstanding automotive service!
