Position SummaryThe Collision Specialist is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience while managing the estimating and repair process from initial vehicle inspection through delivery. This position works closely with customers, insurance companies, technicians, vendors, and dealership departments to ensure repairs are accurate, safe, efficient, and completed according to manufacturer recommendations.
The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in collision repair, highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing customer service with the demands of a fast-paced collision center with no insurance DRPs. Key Responsibilities Inspect vehicles, identify damage, and determine necessary repairs. Prepare accurate, detailed repair estimates using CCC One. Thoroughly blueprint repairs to minimize supplements, delays, and unnecessary rework. Communicate repair plans, timelines, costs, and updates clearly to customers. Work directly with insurance adjusters and assist with claim negotiations. Coordinate with technicians, parts, vendors, insurance partners, and dealership departments to keep repairs moving. Review repair plans with technicians and update estimates when additional damage is identified. Ensure repair orders, estimates, supplements, and other documentation are accurate and complete. Follow Toyota and manufacturer repair procedures and recommendations. Provide applicable manufacturer repair information to technicians. Coordinate internal reconditioning repairs with the Used Car Department. Process applicable Protect All Ding & Dent claims sold through F&I. Maintain a professional, clean, and safe work environment. Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and address concerns promptly. Participate in Toyota training and maintain required certifications. Contribute to a positive, team-oriented Collision Center environment. Qualifications PA Auto Damage Appraiser's License required. 2+ years of collision estimating or related experience. Knowledge of collision repair procedures and insurance claims. Experience with CCC One or similar estimating software. Strong customer service and communication skills. Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple vehicles and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and professional demeanor. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Commitment to quality, safety, and ethical business practices.
