Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Appraiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive service and repair, with the ability to assess vehicle damage accurately and provide comprehensive appraisals. This role requires excellent negotiation skills and mechanical knowledge to ensure fair evaluations of vehicles for insurance purposes. Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess damage and determine repair costs. Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, including necessary repairs and associated costs. Collaborate with technicians and to prepare estimates. Utilize automotive estimating software to create accurate appraisals. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, trends, and regulations related to vehicle appraisals. Communicate effectively with clients and insurance companies regarding appraisal findings. Requirements Proven experience in automotive service, auto service management, or automotive repair. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to identify vehicle issues quickly. Experience in auto estimating is a requirement. Familiarity with service writing and documentation processes. Excellent negotiation skills to facilitate fair agreements between parties involved in the appraisal process. Knowledge of auto body repair techniques is a requirement. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple appraisals efficiently. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
