This position is responsible for warehouse operations, inventory, purchasing, logistics, customer service, and team performance while supporting branch sales and profitability. This is an opportunity to play a key role in a growing wholesale distribution business where your leadership and operational improvements will have a direct impact on customer satisfaction, employee performance, and branch profitability The ideal candidate is a strong hands-on leader with experience in wholesale distribution, building materials, contractor supplies, industrial products, or a related industry. Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations of the branch, including warehouse, inventory, purchasing, deliveries, and customer service. Lead, train, schedule, and develop branch employees. Establish clear performance expectations and hold employees accountable for safety, productivity, accuracy, and customer service. Oversee receiving, stocking, picking, staging, loading, and shipping of products. Maintain accurate inventory and minimize shortages, overages, damage, and obsolete inventory. Coordinate local deliveries and transportation to ensure timely and cost-effective service. Work closely with Sales to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.. Monitor branch operating expenses and identify opportunities to improve profitability. Track and improve key branch performance indicators, including: Sales and gross margin Inventory accuracy and turns Order accuracy On-time delivery Warehouse productivity Freight and delivery costs Customer satisfaction Resolve customer, employee, vendor, and operational issues quickly and professionally. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe branch and warehouse. Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA requirements, and safety procedures. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in wholesale distribution, branch operations, warehouse management, or a related field. 2+ years of supervisory or management experience preferred. Experience in building materials, insulation, crawl space products, contractor supplies, industrial distribution, or similar industries is a plus. Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, purchasing, logistics, and customer service. Proven ability to lead and motivate a team. Strong understanding of branch profitability and operating expenses. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and ERP systems. Forklift and warehouse safety experience preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
