Together, we provide automotive financing for buyers with limited or challenging credit histories. Our joint program aims to deliver the right vehicle and financing to meet our buyers' needs at a payment they can afford. We are currently seeking a dedicated Collection Manager to join our Opelika, AL office. Position Overview The Collection Manager oversees portfolio underwriting, collections management, and repossession oversight to maintain a healthy loan portfolio while helping customers successfully navigate their payment structures. Key Responsibilities Portfolio Underwriting Analyze applicant credit, income, and stability data. Structure deals to maximize dealership profit margins. Verify job history, residence, and references thoroughly. Minimize high-risk loan exposure using strict guidelines. Collection Management Monitor aging accounts and daily delinquency queues. Contact past-due customers via phone and text message. Establish firm, compliant payment workout agreements. Maintain high portfolio liquidation rates monthly. Repossession Oversight Identify accounts requiring immediate collateral recovery. Coordinate seamlessly with licensed repossession agents. Ensure strict adherence to local asset-recovery laws. Manage skip-tracing efforts for hidden collateral.
Position Requirements Professional Experience:
Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years in Collections.
Underwriting:
Proven track record in subprime underwriting.
Collections:
Solid background working in auto-collection environments.
Logistics:
Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
Essential Skills & Attributes:
Compliance:
Deep knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and lending laws.
