Job Description

Job Title:
Branch Manager Position Overview The Branch Manager is responsible for leading branch operations and supervising employees to ensure efficient administrative processes, yard and office procedures, inventory control, and high-quality customer service. This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to lead by example. The Branch Manager interacts daily with customers, employees, and corporate partners, making relationship-building, responsiveness, and follow-through essential to success. A positive, solutions-oriented mindset, along with strong organizational and accuracy skills, is critical. This role emphasizes working through others, requiring consistent follow-up and a collaborative leadership style. The Branch Manager must be able to guide employees constructively while maintaining positive working relationships. Success in this position depends on balancing structure and accountability with strong interpersonal engagement. Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate daily branch operations, including administrative functions, yard activities, and office procedures
  • Provide outstanding customer service and handle inside sales opportunities
  • Oversee and manage delivery, yard, and shop personnel to ensure safe, punctual, and accurate customer deliveries and pick-ups
  • Oversee required and scheduled maintenance and upkeep of branch facilities, vehicles, and equipment
  • Organize, maintain, and control branch inventory and rental fleet
  • Ensure that the rental fleet is appropriately maintained and ready to rent
  • Work closely with the sales and product support teams and coordinate branch sales and administrative functions, including customer invoicing and statements
  • Work with corporate staff to implement policies and procedures, identify opportunities to streamline operations, and improve branch efficiency
  • Review and manage branch customer account receivables
  • Assist with other duties assigned and directed by corporate management Qualifications
  • Previous management or supervisory experience
  • Retail sales experience
  • Strong team leadership and people management skills
  • Knowledge of inventory control processes
  • Proven customer service experience
  • Experience in heavy construction, civil construction, rental operations or related industries is a plus
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrates a customer service mentality
  • Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
