full-time Branch Manager Full-Time | Operations Leadership | On-Site (Sacramento Metro area) What We're Looking For We are seeking a hands-on Branch Manager who can successfully lead the day-to-day operations of a high-volume wholesale distribution branch while building a culture centered around accountability, customer service, and operational excellence. This individual will oversee all aspects of branch performance including warehouse operations, inventory management, customer experience, employee development, safety, and financial performance. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable coaching employees on the warehouse floor, solving customer challenges at the counter, and reviewing branch metrics and financial results with leadership. Success in this role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the importance of balancing service, inventory availability, employee engagement, and profitability. We're looking for a leader who takes ownership of their operation, proactively identifies opportunities for improvement, and has a track record of driving results through strong leadership and disciplined execution. Must-Have Qualifications 2-5+ years of leadership experience within wholesale distribution, industrial supply, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, building materials, or a similar operational environment. Demonstrated experience managing branch operations including warehouse, inventory, customer service, and delivery functions. Experience leading, coaching, and developing teams ranging from front counter personnel and warehouse staff to supervisors and operational leaders. Strong understanding of inventory control, purchasing, forecasting, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy metrics. Experience owning branch KPIs and performance metrics, with exposure to budgeting, financial reporting, and P&L responsibility strongly preferred. Proven ability to improve operational efficiency while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Experience utilizing ERP, inventory management, and business operating systems in a distribution or supply chain environment. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with employees, customers, vendors, and sales teams. Preferred Background Candidates with experience working for wholesale distributor organizations will stand out immediately. Experience supporting contractors, commercial customers, or field service organizations in HVAC, plumbing, industrial, or construction-related industries is highly desirable. The strongest candidates typically bring a combination of operational leadership, customer-facing experience, inventory expertise, and a genuine passion for developing people and growing a business.
