Job Description

Position Summary The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of branch operations. This role plans, directs, and coordinates all operational activities, ensuring company policies, procedures, and standards are consistently implemented while overseeing the branch's day-to-day operations. The Branch Manager is accountable for achieving operational excellence and meeting sales objectives that support the company's vision and strategic goals. Working closely with the sales team, this position drives business growth by ensuring sales targets are achieved, developing new business opportunities, strengthening relationships with existing customers, and increasing revenue within current accounts. Direct, coordinate, and oversee all branch operations, including product pricing, sales, distribution, customer service, and operational performance. Lead, coach, and develop branch employees by establishing work schedules, assigning responsibilities, monitoring performance, and promoting a culture of accountability and teamwork. Review sales reports, operational metrics, and other key performance indicators to evaluate productivity, identify trends, and implement strategies for continuous improvement and cost control. Determine staffing needs and participate in the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, and development of branch personnel. Ensure branch operations are conducted efficiently, effectively, and within approved budget guidelines while maintaining high levels of customer service. Oversee and, when necessary, participate in activities related to purchasing, receiving, warehousing, inventory management, and product distribution. Collaborate with the Director of Purchasing and Inventory to maintain appropriate inventory levels, manage inventory movement, and schedule and oversee cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy. Partner with the sales team to achieve branch sales objectives, develop new business opportunities, expand existing customer relationships, and increase revenue growth. Establish pricing strategies and product offerings based on market conditions, customer demand, and company objectives. Work closely with the IT Manager to ensure compliance with company technology, cybersecurity, and information systems policies and procedures. Communicate employee performance concerns and disciplinary matters with the Human Resources Manager. Copy the Vice President on all formal disciplinary actions. Initiate employee disciplinary actions, up to and excluding termination. Final decisions regarding employee termination are made by a member of the Executive Team. Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Perform other duties as assigned to support branch operations and organizational objectives.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Physical Demands This is a largely sedentary role; however, some warehouse activity can be expected. The ability to lift, slide, and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the "core" work hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Travel Some travel is expected for this position Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Fastener sales experience required Knowledge of the local market Management experience Minimum 5 years' Inside Sales experience.
