Regional Sales/Operations Manager Position Summary:
We are a distributor of quality HVAC equipment and supplies to residential and commercial contractors, with 10 locations in 5 states. We are seeking a motivated and experienced HVAC Branch Manager who is responsible for overseeing all branch operations, ensuring sales growth and profitability, managing inventory, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role has full P&L responsibility and is accountable for driving revenue, optimizing operational efficiency, and leading a high-performing team in accordance with company goals and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership Oversee day-to-day operations of the HVAC branch, including warehouse, delivery, and sales departments. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Monitor and improve branch performance metrics (e.g., customer satisfaction, response times, delivery rates etc.) Financial & P&L Responsibility Manage the branch's Profit & Loss (P&L) performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense control. Develop strategies to drive revenue growth and improve profit margins. Track financial performance, generate reports, and take corrective actions as needed. Inventory & Asset Management Manage inventory levels, ordering, and returns to ensure optimal stock availability and cost control. Monitor equipment and tool usage, maintenance, and calibration schedules. Conduct regular audits to maintain accurate inventory records and minimize loss or shrinkage. Team Management & Development Recruit, train, and manage branch staff including drivers, warehouse personnel and counter sales personnel. Set performance goals and provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Customer Service & Sales Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by overseeing timely and quality service delivery. Support sales initiatives and help grow the customer base through local business development and relationship management. Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of HVAC industry experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management role. Proven experience managing P&L, inventory and people in a service or distribution environment. Strong understanding of HVAC systems, codes, and best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in business software (e.g., Microsoft Office, ERP/inventory systems). Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience acceptable.
