Job Summary:
The Private Utility Locate Field Manager will oversee the operations of the utility locating division, ensuring the accurate and timely identification and marking of underground utilities. This role involves managing a team of utility locators, coordinating with clients, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management Supervise and lead a team of utility locators, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Supervising personnel and managing the daily operations of the division. Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and accuracy in utility locating services. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Operational Oversight Ensure all utility locating activities are performed in compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards. Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of utility locators to various job sites. Ensuring that all client deliverables are sent out to contacts in a timely manner. Monitor and manage the division's budget, resources, and equipment. Maintaining the division's standard and quality of work. Planning and allocating resources and budget for the division. Providing advice and conflict resolution management to staff. Evaluating the division's performance and developing strategies for improvement. Establishing communication with managers in other departments to coordinate efforts and solve problems as needed. Client Relations Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and service requests. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business. Prepare and present reports on project status, performance metrics, and client feedback.
