Job Description

HVAC Service Manager - Join Our Growing Team Surner Heating is seeking an experienced and driven HVAC Service Manager to lead our service department and help deliver top-tier customer care in the oil and propane industry. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in building strong teams and efficient operations. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily service operations , ensuring efficiency and quality Dispatch technicians and manage real-time scheduling needs Supervise incoming customer calls and ensure exceptional service delivery Manage daily billing and job completion processes Respond to and resolve customer inquiries and service issues Train, coach, and onboard new technicians to build a high-performing team Coordinate technician schedules, including on-call rotations, holidays, and PTO coverage Assist with facility and inventory management Monitor and control department costs while maintaining service standards Qualifications (Required) 3-5 years of experience as a department manager Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Proven ability to manage budgets and control operational costs Valid driver's license Prior experience working for a fuel company Oil burner license Working knowledge of local, state, and federal codes and regulations related to oil and propane equipment installation and service Preferred Qualifications CDL Class A or B with HazMat endorsement Valid DOT Medical Card Massachusetts Plumber's License EPA Certification HVAC, electrical, and propane (CETP) training What We Offer Competitive salary 401(k) with 4% company match Health insurance Paid time off Employee discount
