Job Description

Luckey Farmers, Inc. seeks a branch manager for our Britton Branch Location. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations and supervision of the branch.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Responsible for all operations of the branch. Assists with grain origination efforts tributary to the branch. Develops and implements actions that maximize location profitability. Supervises branch operations in a team-focused environment.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Responsible for all grain operations at the assigned facility. Trains assigned employees to assist in operating the facility. Trains employees to meet state, federal, and company regulatory and safety criteria. Utilizes best management practices for monitoring and maintaining quality of inventory. Utilizes best management practices for maintaining equipment and facilities. Collaborates with the Area Grain Manager to ensure all equipment, rolling stock, and facilities are in good working order. Assists with operations in other departments as required Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Follows Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. Supports and contributes to total company goals and objectives through collaboration efforts. Maintains the appropriate professional image.
WORK ENVIRONMENT ACCOUNTABILITIES
Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, snow, ice, etc.). Noisy conditions. Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures. May be required to work at varying heights. Lift 51 - 70 lbs. Ability to work extended hours and on-call as business conditions warrant.
BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires an Associate's Degree in an agricultural or business discipline, or the equivalent thereof, and work experience to demonstrate knowledge to effectively manage the assigned facilities and personnel. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and have the ability to travel independently. Must be able to obtain and maintain all applicable certifications, licenses, and permits.
