Job Description

Position Summary The Branch Manager - Retail Banking Officer is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and growth of the branch. This role oversees daily operations, drives business development, ensures exceptional customer service, and fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and community involvement. The Branch Manager develops employees, strengthens customer relationships, and ensures compliance with all Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Customer Relationship Management Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive outreach and exceptional service. Resolve and support staff when customer concerns and complex service matters arise in a timely and professional manner. Identify customer financial needs and recommend appropriate deposit, lending, and banking solutions. Provide a consistent customer experience that reflects the Bank's values and commitment to service. Utilize or develop systems to document interactions, track activities, and support relationship growth within the branch. Business & Community Development Develop and execute branch strategies that support deposit growth, lending activity, customer acquisition, household relationship expansion, and profitability. Identify opportunities for referrals and cross-selling across all lines of business. Partner with internal teams to connect customers with specialized products and services. Lead branch sales meetings and marketing initiatives to support growth objectives. Achieve individual and branch sales goals through business development and relationship management efforts. Analyze branch performance metrics and implement strategies to improve production, efficiency, and profitability. Represent the Bank in various community, civic, and community reinvestment functions to further enhance the Bank's image, brand and develop additional business. Lending, Deposits and Operations Open, maintain, and service consumer and business deposit account, as needed. Process consumer credit and mortgage applications and assist customers throughout the lending process. Ensure account documentation, transactions, and customer records are accurate and compliant with Bank policies and regulatory requirements. Support branch operations including teller functions, account servicing, balancing, and other responsibilities as assigned. Identifies efficiencies in daily operations to increase productivity, reduce costs and/or manage risk. Provides support, as needed and assigned, to the SVP of Operations and their direct organization. Compliance & Risk Management Maintain compliance with all Bank policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements. Protect customer information and Bank assets through sound operational and risk management practices. Lead audit, security, and operational standards while promoting a culture of accountability and integrity. Participate in and execute upon the strategies and budget set by leadership. Teamwork & Professional Development Treat people with respect; maintain integrity, professionalism, and ethical business practices. Provide leadership and guidance that supports employee engagement, retention, and professional development. Leads hiring, onboarding and cross-training to promote staff development and operational consistency. Serve as a resource for branch employees regarding products, procedures, and customer service expectations. Supports work as assigned or delegated by the SVP of Operations. Perform duties specific to the position and other functions as assigned. Minimum Requirements These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines. Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field; or equivalent professional experience. Minimum 5-7 years of banking experience. Strong knowledge of bank regulations, operations, products, and services. Proven record of achieving sales goals and driving business growth. Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills. Ability to work and manage others with minimal oversight or guidance, while performing duties. Valid driver's license (reliable transportation required). Active NMLS (Nationwide Multistate Licensing System & Registry) registration or license preferred or willing to obtain. Notary certification and NMLS preferred or willing to obtain. The physical demands and work environment are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of the job. At times, on-call availability is needed to support branch stability / scheduling.
Pay:
From $75,000.00 per year
