JOB DESCRIPTION ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGER/ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGER, FLOAT

SUMMARY:
Working under the guidance and direction of the Branch Manager, the Assistant Branch Manager/Assistant Branch Manager Float will work with the Branch Manager to learn how to effectively manage branch operations, develop staff, and promote the sales and service culture. The Assistant Branch Manager has responsibility for supervision of branch staff, achievement of sales and service goals and operational activities. Ensure M ember service meets or exceeds expectations. Assure productive workflow and that all operations are consistent with internal and external policies and regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages all functions of the branch and operational activities, including adequate staffing levels, and staff development. Provides leadership, coach, train, and manage performance of staff to ensure branch achieves sales and service goals. Exercises discretion and uses independent judgement. Responsible for the consistent execution of sales and service activities and strategies Ensures branch adheres to operational policies, compliance requirements and security measures. Assists in the development and training of staff, including performance reviews, giving constructive feedback, and administering correction action processes. Oversees consumer loan production for branch, including approving loans within authority level, underwriting, and disbursement. Ensures exceptional M ember service to all external and internal M embers to foster and capture the credit union culture. Supports ongoing marketing strategies, plans, contests, promotions, and focuses in branch. Promotes Credit Union through community involvement via memberships in local organizations (i.e., Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, etc.), participation in town events, and engage in local business networks. Suggests changes in products, policies, and procedures that would enhance M ember satisfaction, revenue, security, or operational efficiency. Follows established audit, security, and compliance guidelines to protect the staff, company assets, and M embers from harm or loss. Works with Branch Manager to develop, update, and maintain an annual budget for the branch. Operates branch within budget and manages controllable components of expenses for the Branch. Provides facilities management such as bids for repairs and services, ensuring that security-alarm system functions properly, maintain ATM machines, and other necessary duties. Accommodates flexible work schedule to meet branch needs, including evenings and weekends. Provide coverage at other branch locations, as needed. Serves as a flexible leader who travels between multiple branches to provide coverage for management absences, ensure operational consistency. Oversee staff, manage daily operations, handle complex Member transactions, and ensure regulatory compliance. Perform Notary Public duties. Completes projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
An associate degree or equivalent experience with specialized training in appropriate areas. 3+ years of financial or equivalent retail sales experience 3-5 years supervisory experience Credit or lending background. Complete and thorough knowledge of all products and services of the credit union Knowledge of all relevant rules, procedures, and guidelines. Notary Public required. Signature Guarantee required. NMLS Registration required. Must possess good communication, supervisory, and organizational skills.
