As the Assistant Branch Manager, you will support the Branch Manager in overseeing daily branch operations, developing staff, building client relationships, and achieving sales and service goals. You will help identify banking solutions for consumer and small business clients, support community and business development efforts, and promote digital banking resources. This role also assists with operational compliance, branch performance, and team leadership while serving as a key resource for staff and clients. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support daily branch operations and assist with overall branch performance. Provide leadership, coaching, and day-to-day support to branch staff. Deliver high-quality service while identifying and addressing client banking needs. Maintain strong knowledge of consumer, small business, and digital banking products. Build relationships with prospective clients, business owners, and community contacts. Conduct outreach to local businesses, organizations, and referral partners to generate new business. Promote digital and self-service banking tools to improve the client experience. Assist with strategies to grow consumer and small business relationships. Support branch sales, production, profitability, and customer service goals. Help maintain compliance with operational policies, procedures, and banking standards. Serve as a point of escalation for client and staff questions or concerns. Assume leadership responsibilities in the Branch Manager's absence. Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, teamwork, integrity, and a service-focused approach. Other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of five years of experience in a financial institution required. Prior experience in banking sales, customer service, or client relationship management. Three or more years of experience as a Personal Banker or in a branch supervisory role preferred. Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, and Power BI. Comfortable using smartphones, digital banking tools, and other technology platforms. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build relationships with clients, coworkers, and community contacts. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with appropriate insurance coverage.
