Job Description
Assistant Branch Manager Who We Are Gardens of Babylon is a full service landscape company dedicated to creating and maintaining beautiful, sustainable outdoor spaces. We pride ourselves on craftsmanship, professionalism, and developing strong leaders within the landscaping industry. Position Summary The Assistant Branch Manager is a leadership role responsible for supporting the operational success of the branch. This individual will oversee multiple landscape crews, support Project Managers, manage client relationships, oversee projects, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and at the highest quality standards. The role is focused on leadership development, operational excellence, financial accountability, and building a strong team culture across the branch. The primary focus of this role will be client and project management, including oversight of projects, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring overall project success. This position will initially oversee approximately 3 to 4 crews and supervise field foremen/team leaders. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong leadership skills, gain buy in from their teams, and effectively manage daily crew operations before expanding into broader Project Management oversight responsibilities. The Assistant Branch Manager will begin by managing crews and field operations to ensure strong leadership presence and operational consistency. Over time, this individual will take on additional PM oversight responsibilities and broader branch operational duties. Key Responsibilities Crew & Team Management Oversee multiple landscape crews and field foremen/team leaders Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability to team members Support hiring, onboarding, and training of field employees Conduct employee evaluations and partner with HR on disciplinary matters when necessary Promote a positive team culture and maintain high employee morale Lead and participate in team meetings regarding safety, scheduling, and company expectations Ensure crews are operating safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company standards Develop leadership within foremen and team leaders Project & Client Management Manage client relationships and ensure overall customer satisfaction Oversee project coordination and daily operational execution Manage projects from planning through completion Audit jobsites to ensure quality standards are maintained Work closely with Project Managers to maintain schedules and production goals Support communication between clients, crews, and leadership teams Assist with resolving operational challenges in the field Ensure projects are completed on time and within operational expectations Maintain a high level of professionalism and responsiveness with clients Operations & Equipment Oversight Assist with organization and oversight of shop and lot operations Support efficient crew load out and return processes Oversee maintenance scheduling for trucks, trailers, and equipment Ensure crews have proper materials and equipment to complete projects successfully Monitor operational efficiency across multiple crews and projects Maintain focus on safety, efficiency, and operational excellence Minimum Requirements Proven leadership experience managing crews, supervisors, or multiple teams Experience overseeing multiple crews and field operations Strong client relationship and communication skills Experience managing projects and client expectations Experience in landscaping, construction, or related field operations Ability to oversee multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Ability to lead foremen and field leadership teams effectively Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred Valid Driver's License Must be insurable under Gardens of Babylon's auto policy Ability to lift up to 80 lbs continuously Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat, rain, cold, and snow Strong work ethic with willingness to work overtime as needed Team player mindset with a focus on accountability and professionalism Schedule Expectations Monday through Friday approximately 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM with some Saturdays as needed. Target Start Date June 1, 2026
Pay:
$105,000.00 - $115,000.00 per yearBenefits:
