Job Summary The Branch Manager has full operational responsibility for an assigned branch location — leading the Inside Sales team at that location while also owning day-to-day branch operations and facility/maintenance, effectively serving as the general manager of the branch. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Inside Sales Leadership Manage Inside Sales function at the branch, including daily task and call-queue coverage. Maintain a personal account book and continue to sell and service customers directly. Resolve escalated customer, pricing, and order issues beyond Representative authority. Monitor branch service levels (call responsiveness, quote turnaround, order accuracy) and maintain CRM/account data hygiene across the team. Onboard and train new staff as necessary. Branch Operations Oversee day-to-day branch functions, including will-call/counter sales and local order fulfillment. Coordinate with Warehouse, Purchasing, and Drivers on inventory levels and delivery performance for the branch. Manage local vendor relationships for branch supply and service needs. Ensure adequate staffing and scheduling across all branch functions. Monitor and report branch financial performance (revenue, expenses, margin) to the President of Operations. Ensure the branch complies with company policies, procedures, and brand standards. Facility and Maintenance Own the branch facility's day-to-day maintenance and upkeep (building, equipment, grounds). Coordinate repairs, service calls, and vendor visits for facility and equipment issues. Maintain safety and code compliance (OSHA, fire/life safety, etc.) for the facility. Manage the facility maintenance budget and submit capital requests as needed. Ensure branch equipment (forklifts, vehicles, point-of-sale/ERP systems) is properly maintained and serviced on schedule. General Management Hire, onboard, schedule, and manage the performance of branch staff across all functions. Represent the branch to customers, the local community, and vendors. Implement company initiatives and policy changes at the branch level. Escalate significant customer, safety, staffing, or capital issues to the President of Operations. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in inside sales, branch/retail operations, or distribution management, including 2+ years of supervisory experience. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple functions (sales, operations, facilities) simultaneously with minimal on-site support. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to company headquarters for training and meetings. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, operations, or a related field. Prior general manager or branch manager experience in a distribution, industrial supply, or retail environment. Basic facilities/maintenance management experience.
