Description Position Purpose and Objectives Assist Branch Manager in managing all sales and operational functions within the branch. Lead and develop branch staff with the goal of providing excellent service to members in transactions, loans and accounts. Major Duties and Essential Functions Primary manager on duty in the absence of a branch manager. Assist in creating and maintaining a sales and service environment within the branch. Maintain a highly motivated, well-trained staff who consistently offer excellent service to all members. Maintain effective employee relations within the branch. Monitor key products and sales within branch to ensure profitable and sound business practice as well as the highest quality of service for the members. Assist in evaluating job performance of branch staff to ensure quality of work and service to the membership. Issue coaching/counseling as needed. Apply and evaluate security and audit policies and procedures for the branch. Ensure that the branch is in compliance with federal laws and regulations. Assist in monitoring branch activity including number of transactions, volume, teller errors, loan volume, teller and loan personal sales, and new accounts. Track volume and issue reports as required by management. Ensure branch staff receives on-going training on security and robbery procedures, products/services, current procedures, and all other necessary information. Schedule adequate staff to ensure efficient branch operation. Utilize traffic pattern reports and sales volumes to determine true need. Ensure your time is spent between sales/service, operations and leadership. Ensure documents are properly reviewed and signed prior to leaving the branch. Maintain minimal quality control errors and hold staff accountable to the same. Assist staff members in solving complex problems or member issues. Assist in recommending, implementing and supervising the branch budget. Remain compliant with all financial laws and regulations including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) as they apply to the duties of the position. Positions directly supervised : All branch personnel Requirements Specific knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position: Ability to oversee and promote a sales/service environment; working knowledge of a variety of financial products and services; excellent member service skills; exceptional interpersonal and oral communication skills; basic computer and typing skills; excellent time management and organizational skills; professional and polished in both attitude and appearance
Education :
High-school diploma or equivalent
Experience :
Minimum 2-3 years supervisory experience in a branch environment Minimum 2-3 years Sales/Service experience in a Retail and/or Financial Institution environment
