This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys developing employees, assisting members, and ensuring branch operations run smoothly and accurately. This is not a sales-focused position and does not have sales goals or quotas. Our focus is on providing excellent member service, maintaining strong operational standards, and helping our members with their financial needs. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and support branch employees while fostering a positive and professional work environment. Oversee daily branch operations and ensure compliance with PECU policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Open and maintain member accounts, including checking, savings, certificates, and other deposit products. Ensure new account procedures and documentation are completed accurately and consistently. Serve as a loan officer by assisting members with consumer loan applications, reviewing financial information, making lending decisions within established authority, and communicating loan decisions and terms. Assist members with account questions, transactions, problem resolution, and other financial service needs. Provide guidance and support to employees handling more complex member situations. Monitor branch workflow, staffing, scheduling, cash operations, and internal controls. Train and develop employees on operational procedures, member service expectations, new accounts, lending, and PECU policies. Conduct employee coaching, performance discussions, and evaluations as needed. Ensure the branch maintains appropriate security, confidentiality, and compliance standards. Work collaboratively with other branches and departments to provide consistent service to PECU members. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous banking or credit union experience required. Previous supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred. Experience opening and maintaining consumer deposit accounts. Consumer lending or loan officer experience preferred. Strong understanding of branch operations, account documentation, and financial institution procedures. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to coach employees, address performance concerns, and lead by example. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and compliance. Comfortable working directly with members and resolving complex or sensitive situations. What We're Looking For The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who is comfortable balancing employee leadership with direct member service. This role requires someone who can confidently manage branch operations, support and develop a team, open accounts, assist with lending decisions, and step in wherever needed to ensure members receive excellent service. PECU does not operate under a sales-goal environment. We are looking for someone who prioritizes doing what is right for the member, maintaining strong operational standards, and building a knowledgeable and dependable team.
