Your Opportunity The Branch Manager provides professional leadership in all aspects of Branch Management including but not limited to Market Development, Sales Execution, Operational Excellence and the Development and Training of Sales Representatives, Supervisors and General Workers. Core Responsibilities People Development
  • direct staffing, training and performance evaluations. Establishes sales territories, quotas and goals Directing Market Development
  • develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate and branch goals. Review market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules and discount rates Sales Execution
  • meets with key clients, assists sales representatives with maintaining relationships, negotiating and closing deals. Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives Ensure policy and procedure compliance Monitor and control inventory and revenue management Direct sales planning and forecasting activities Oversee budget and cost controls
  • participate in budget preparation, ensuring adherence to established budgets Truck and Facility Management
  • ensure the appearance and condition of all company equipment is kept up to company standards and that company equipment assigned is maintained in accordance with company policy and Department of Transportation regulations Represents company at trade association Oversee collections of accounts for all salespersons in your area Work closely with corporate collections to resolve and maintain customer's accounts Develop strong relationship with key accounts within the region Report competitive and other food products activities immediately Execution of management decisions Develop new areas capable to work with wholesale and modern trade environment Assist other branches as needed Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 5+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education, required. MBA preferred. 2+ years of demonstrated experience in team management/development or project leadership is required Consumer Packaged Goods sales experience preferred
  • Direct Retail Sales experience a plus
  • DSD experience preferred 5 years prior supervisory experience required
  • Route Management experience preferred A valid Driver's License with a good driving record is required, a CDL-B driver's license must be obtained within 90 days of start date; the individual must pass a Department of Transportation (D.
O.T.) written test plus a D.O.T. physical and drug screen. Local management administers a driving test Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and decision making skills Demonstrated ability to focus and manage multiple priorities and motivate a large team Proven ability to build and maintain strong, effective relationships with customers and functional groups Strong leadership experience. Computer Skills Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) Required
  • previous experience with Blacksmith a plus.
