Position Summary The Branch Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the branch, providing leadership in member service, sales, operational integrity, business development, and employee development. As a functional part of the team, the Branch Manager is also responsible for ensuring appropriate coverage for the branch and is expected to function proficiently in every branch role as needed. This role supports Credit Union goals and objectives through leadership and a strong service mentality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties as assigned. Ensure branch, departmental, and organizational service standard objectives are achieved Provide on-the-job training and/or regular coaching to promote and develop service and operational proficiency & excellence across Branch Management, Banker, and Teller teams Drive all branch sales / production efforts to achieve branch, departmental, and organizational goals; effectively communicate and provide a clear line of site to branch team around objectives and performance Effectively execute various initiatives to include coaching, sales, service, rocks, projects, etc. Leadership development through community engagement; active participation in social impact initiatives, proactively engage in community events organized by Retail / Marketing or other Amplify business partners, and expand role beyond the branch by participating in department / organization initiatives, projects, committees, etc. Administer the branch budget, purchasing, and record retention for business expenses; utilizes company funds prudently; reconciles budget and expenses monthly Actively support branch operational needs, to include processing Teller transactions and performing all Banker functions Upholds credit union policies and procedures and champions organizational culture both internally and externally Supervisory Responsibilities Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the credit union's policies and applicable laws. Directly and/or through subordinates, supervises all teammates in the branch environment. Performs duties around the entire employee lifecycle, to include interviewing, hiring, performance appraisals, disciplinary action, and termination. In addition, participates in teammate work scheduling, timecard approvals, training / coaching, facilitating meetings, and other similar tasks. Maintains ongoing communication with the AVP of Retail Banking, informing them of all pertinent problems, irregularities, new developments, changes, and other important information within area of responsibility. Attends meetings and facilitates department meetings as scheduled, as directed, or as necessary for effective leadership of the department. Education and/or Experience High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; Bachelor's degree and three years of successful financial institution experience preferred. Prior supervisory experience required. Proven experience in leading a team to successful results in both service and sales is required. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations Must be bondable. Software and Equipment Requirements To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of an be proficient in the use of a personal computer, Microsoft Office products, and the use of a telephone. Knowledge of and experience using a 10-key is helpful. Other Qualifications Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, including weekends. Must have or quickly obtain working knowledge of Credit Union's products & services, policies, standard operating procedures, and State and Federal regulations. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and achieve goals. Proficiency in responding effectively to highly sensitive, complex, emotional, and/or urgent issues related to members, teammates, and vendors. Proficient verbal and written communication skills. It also entails the benefits available to all Amplify employees, including a 401(k) with a company match of 100% on the first 5% you contribute. Location This on-site position will report to one of our four branch locations: Esperanza, Pond Springs, La Frontera, and Cedar Park.
