EECU is looking for a Financial Center Assistant Manager at our Watauga Financial Center, that will be responsible for the direct supervision of the financial center employees, which includes mentoring and coaching employees to their fullest potential and setting clear direction. This is a leadership position and will perform management responsibilities in the absence of the Financial Center Manager. Key Responsibilities of the
Assistant Manager:
As the Assistant Manager at our Watauga Financial Center, you'll play a pivotal role in daily operations and member satisfaction. Here s what the day-to-day financial center functions will be : 🔹 Lead Daily Operations
  • Oversee financial center functions, ensuring operational efficiency in both platform and teller operations. 🔹 Drive Performance & Achieve Goals
  • Help the branch meet and exceed sales and service targets through strategic planning and execution. 🔹 Mentor & Support the Team
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, coaching Financial Center Consultants and ensuring exceptional member experiences. 🔹 Provide Specialized Financial Expertise
  • Assist members with specialized services such as CDs, IRAs, HSAs, and business and consumer accounts. 🔹 Expand Member Relationships
  • Utilize needs-based selling techniques to deepen existing relationships and acquire new ones. 🔹 Process Loans & Handle Transactions
  • Conduct loan interviews, process applications, and assist with a variety of financial transactions. 🔹 Resolve Complex Issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve member concerns with professionalism, ensuring a seamless experience. 🔹 Review & Analyze Reports
  • Monitor production, quality control, and financial center reports to track performance and minimize exceptions/losses.
Requires successful registration with, and issuance of a unique identification number from, the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) in compliance with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (S.A.F.E. Act). Responsible for compliance of all Federal and State rules and regulations pertaining but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Bribery Act, NCUA Privacy Regulations, Reg DD, Reg E, Reg CC, Reg Z, Reg B, FCRA/FACTA, and Service Members Civil Relief. Required to attend initial and ongoing annual Bank Secrecy Act training. Candidates for EECU should possess the following knowledge and experience : Five to seven years minimum retail service or related experience Must be a proven leader of people within a customer service environment A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities Retail Operations knowledge i.e. platform and teller operations Excellent customer and business focus, communication and interpersonal skills Professional written and oral communication skills Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications College Degree preferred Hours M-F 7:45am
  • 6:15pm, Saturdays 8:45am
