Summary:
Responsible to train and supervise the Account Representatives. Be active in the community. Promote Royal Bank in the area. Make sure the building is well maintained inside and out. Additionally, this person is responsible for soliciting, negotiating, underwriting and coordinating the closing of consumer and residential loans while ensuring the bank maintain a sound loan portfolio with respect to compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, and bank lending policies and procedures. Develops business checking and deposit relationships with customers, and promotes business for the bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services in accordance with the bank's objectives. Provides a superior level of customer relations and promotes the service culture through coaching, guidance and staff motivation. Be active in the community. Promote Royal Bank in the area.
Essential Duties:
Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required. Set up employee education classes. Schedule employee work hours. Approve or deny vacation requests. Review the employees work daily. Test the employee's knowledge of banking regulations. Hire, discipline or terminate employees. Conduct employee annual reviews. Review and approve employee time sheets. Advising and consulting Business and Ag customers. Making farm and business visits. Taking applications for commercial, Ag, consumer and home loans. Reviewing the loan documents and closing loans. Assist the Development manager in developing an advertising program. Coordinate with Royal Bank's Marketing Program. Provides a high level of customer service (per the Bank's Customer Service expectations) to both external and internal customers on a constant and consistent basis. Taking applications for consumer and residential loans. Reviewing the loan documents and closing loans. Loan Assistant duties to encompass all aspect of the loan from funding forward. Assist the Development manager in developing an advertising program. Provides a high level of customer service (per the Bank's Customer Service expectations) to both external and internal customers on a constant and consistent basis.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Assist with opening and closing of the building.
- Check the building security system.
- Arrange for minor building maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, the Branch Manager/Loan Officer must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skills and ability required.
Education:
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting or finance required. Combination of education and experience would be considered.
Experience:
- Previous experience in credit analysis preferred.
- Understanding of Excel and the ability to spread financials and assess risk required.
- Good computer skills required.
- Understanding of tax returns and financial statements required.
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills required.
Language Skills :
Ability to speak, and write in English at the level necessary for the effective accomplishment of essential job duties.
Mathematical Skills :
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
