We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. Our ideal candidate will have well-rounded accounting skills with experience in multiple areas. This position requires someone with meticulous attention to detail and a sense for numbers who is reliable and wants to be a key member of our accounting team. There is ample opportunity for someone to grow both in this position and by cross-training with other positions. Duties will be varied and would include: Generating and submitting invoices to clients for payment Monitoring invoice aging and following up on past due invoices Reconciling various billing sources to ensure all invoices company-wide are completed and recorded Setting up client contracts and project coding in the accounting system Overseeing contract billings and coordinating with field staff as needed Providing project admin support to Ops Manager Providing general accounting support to Controller Supporting A/P as needed Supporting Payroll as needed Qualifications Two years accounting experience with one year each of A/P, A/R, and Payroll experience preferred Basic skill level with Microsoft Excel (additional training will be provided if needed) Working knowledge of all other Windows Office applications Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively with minimal oversight. While not required, prior experience in Sage 300 CRE would be highly preferred as would experience working in a project-based industry. We are looking for an individual who can work well independently but also collaborate effectively as part of a group. We also need someone who can be trusted to perform tasks efficiently and accurately and who is willing to take on a variety of tasks to support the needs of the moment.
