Job Summary:
The Accounting Specialist aids in processing receivables, payroll, and facilitating collections for AAA Moving and Storage.
Essential Functions and Duties:
Post receivables into accounting software subsequent to appropriate research of the payment.
Communicate with customers regarding claims decisions made by the service center General Managers
Process credit card payments for monthly storage after verifying invoices have been generated and posted to accounting software
Ensure collections efforts are conducting according to the regulations of the State of Alaska and the state within which the customer resides.
Assemble paperwork to send to attorney for collection purposes, as needed.
Work assigned shifts including some mandatory overtime and work on Saturdays

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of, or ability to learn, company software
Knowledge of, or ability to learn accounting software
Strong interpersonal skills for communicating over the phone and through writing
Knowledge of accounting/general bookkeeping procedures
Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite Required Education and Experience:
Required:
High school diploma
Preferred:
Prior receivables or collections experience
