Growing Managed Service Provider needs an experienced, detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Accountant who understands the IT services industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience handling recurring revenue (MRR), project-based billing, and integrating PSA tools with accounting software. Responsiblities:

Accounts Receivable and Invoicing - Handle complex invoicing, including prorated adjustments, block hours, and consumption-based cloud billing (Microsoft 365, AWS, backup licenses, etc.); monitor accounts receivable aging reports and execute collections activities; manage the monthly automated billing lifecycle for managed services contracts; process client payments via ACH, credit cards and lockbox. Accounts Payable and Expense Management - Manage vendor invoices and reconcile them against distributor procurement platforms (such as Ingram Micro, Pax8, TD SYNNEX), audit vendor bills to ensure services paid for are current; prepared and execute weekly/bi-weekly accounts payable disbursements; reconcile company credit cards and expense reports. Payroll Administration - Process/coordinate bi-weekly payroll, including tracking technician overtime, commissions, or billable hour bonuses. Banking Reconciliations - Daily bank reconciliations across multiple operating, payroll and savings accounts; monitor hardware/software inventory adjustments and ensure proper tracking of prepayments an deposits.

Other:

Monitor and file sales and use tax; month-end close support.

Requirements:

At least 3-5 years bookkeeping or accounting experience, specifically within a MSP, SaaS, or IT Services environment Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks online; direct experience using industry PSA tools (HaloPSA, ConnectWise PSA, Datto/Autotask, or Syncro is a large plus); expertise with Excel and Word Industry Knowledge - Strong understanding of MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue), revenue recognitions, and separating COGS (Cost of Goods Sold like licenses/hardware) from Operating Expenses Exceptional communication skills; high attention to detail
