The Senior Wire Specialist plays a critical role within the Operations Team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of wire transfers for all bank customers. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to perform a wide range of operational tasks in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. The Senior Wire Specialist serves as a resource for the wire team, assists with process verification, and provides support for inquiries from employees and customers. Additional responsibilities include handling special projects and providing backup coverage for other Wire Specialists. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Accurately process domestic and international wire transfer requests received via phone, email, or in person, ensuring proper verification of account details and authorizations

Open cases as needed with wire transfer service providers

Perform callback verifications for phone, email, or fax-initiated wires; confirm wire instructions and authorization limits

Process foreign currency wires, prepare remittance disclosures, and handle reverse wire drawdown requests.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies, errors, or issues related to incoming and outgoing wire transactions promptly

Participate in core-related testing in UAT and Production. Maintain test scripts

Maintain and update email parameters for wire transfer notifications

Maintain departmental volume reports

Download and distribute daily and monthly reports to BSA; maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory requirements

Mentor and train Wire Specialist II team members; assist in updating procedures as processes evolve. May assist leaders in day-to-day operational supervision of workflow

Manage high-volume internal mailboxes, balance AM and PM wire activity, and ensure timely responses to inquiries from customers and associates.

Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies; complete required compliance training.

Ensures all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or its equivalent is required, and
