Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards such as GAAP. Your expertise will support the organization's financial health and provide vital insights through precise bookkeeping and financial report writing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to both corporate and non-profit accounting environments, utilizing leading financial software systems to streamline operations and ensure accuracy. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including journal entries, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger accounting using software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar systems Process payroll accurately and timely while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and collections Maintain detailed records of financial transactions using spreadsheets and accounting software, adhering to accounting standards like GAAP Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to verify data integrity and identify discrepancies Prepare financial reports, summaries, and supporting documentation for audits or management review Assist with budgeting processes and provide insights into financial concepts to support strategic planning Skills Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, or similar platforms Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation Familiarity with public accounting practices as well as non-profit accounting principles Proficiency in spreadsheets for data analysis and report writing Knowledge of GAAP standards and accounting systems to ensure compliance and accuracy Ability to perform account analysis, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis efficiently Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in financial report writing and record keeping Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members on financial concepts and processes Join us in a role where your expertise will drive our financial integrity forward!
Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 - 10.0 per week
