Join our team at OPTIMUM INC., an Underground Cable Construction Company, as a Bookkeeper. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping to manage financial records and transactions. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

• Record journal entries accurately to reflect financial transactions.
• Utilize double-entry bookkeeping methods to maintain financial records.
• Proficiently use accounting software, such as Quickbooks, to manage financial data.
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Assist in accounts receivable functions, including invoicing and tracking payments.
• Maintain accurate records of debits and credits to balance accounts effectively.

Skills:

• Strong background in accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in payroll processing and record-keeping.
• Experience with journal entries and double-entry bookkeeping.
• Familiarity with accounting software, particularly Quickbooks .
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Previous experience as a clerk or bookkeeper is advantageous.
• Ability to manage accounts receivable efficiently.
• Skill in balancing debits and credits accurately.
