As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial records, bookkeeping processes, reporting, and administrative financial support. You will work closely with management to ensure accurate financial tracking, vendor management, account reconciliation, and compliance reporting. This position requires strong accounting knowledge, QuickBooks experience, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a busy shop environment. Primary ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Bookkeeping Manage daily bookkeeping and financial transactions Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Prepare and post journal entries Reconcile bank accounts and credit card accounts Monitor company cash flow and account balances Generate financial reports as requested by management Maintain accurate and organized accounting records Accounts Payable (A/P) Enter and manage vendor invoices Reconcile vendor statements and accounts Process and issue vendor payments Monitor overdue balances and vendor concerns Coordinate with vendors regarding discrepancies and payment status Accounts Receivable (A/R) Prepare customer statements and invoices Record incoming payments accurately Follow up on overdue balances and collections Maintain organized customer account records Banking & Financial Administration Prepare and reconcile deposits Process company credit card payments Monitor banking activity and account transactions Assist with financial reporting and compliance documentation Inventory & Administrative Support Assist with inventory adjustments and inventory builds in QuickBooks Desktop 2024 Maintain employee documentation and records Assist with company compliance reporting and administrative documentation Organize office records, filing, scanning, and mail processing Maintain office supply inventory and ordering Qualifications Accounting degree or equivalent bookkeeping/accounting experience preferred Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) High proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop and accounting software Strong Microsoft Excel skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Preferred Experience Automotive repair industry experience preferred Manufacturing or CNC shop experience is a plus Experience handling high transaction volume environments Experience with inventory management and reconciliation What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who: Is highly organized and dependable Takes ownership of their responsibilities Communicates clearly and professionally Can identify and solve problems proactively Works efficiently under pressure Understands urgency, accountability, and follow-through Wants to grow with the company long term Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Full-time position Growth opportunities available Fast-paced and team-oriented work environment About Us NMS Automotive Care is a growing automotive repair and CNC manufacturing company with over 20 years in business.
