Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a Part-Time Accounts Payable Clerk for a temp-to-hire opportunity supporting accounting operations in the construction industry. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounts payable professional who enjoys invoice processing, vendor communication, statement reconciliation, and organized documentation in a small office environment. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and process invoices submitted via email, ensuring accuracy and readiness for payment.
- Reconcile vendor and subcontractor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Communicate with subcontractors regarding invoices, documentation, insurance records, preliminary notices, and lien releases.
- Manage accounts payable email correspondence, follow-up tasks, and related documentation.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain organized accounting records.
- Provide additional administrative and accounting support as needed in a small office environment. Compensation and Benefits
Pay:
$26 to $28 per hour, depending on experience.Job Type:

Part Time approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility to consider full-time hours for the right candidate.Location:
Solana Beach, CA. Required Qualifications and Skills- Process accounts payable invoices and prepare documentation for payment.
- Reconcile vendor and subcontractor statements and research discrepancies.
- Manage subcontractor communication related to invoices, insurance records, preliminary notices, and lien releases.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and support general office accounting needs.
- Previous accounts payable experience required.
- 2+ years of related accounting or accounts payable experience preferred.
- Experience processing invoices and reconciling statements.
- Strong data entry skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage email correspondence, follow-ups, and documentation.
- Dependable with a stable work history.
- Comfortable working independently in a small office environment.
- Positive, outgoing attitude with a professional work ethic. Preferred Qualifications
- Construction industry experience, a plus.
- Familiarity with preliminary notices and lien releases is a plus.
- Experience communicating with vendors, subcontractors, or trade partners is helpful.
