Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a direct hire opportunity with a growing organization in San Marcos. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong accounts payable and accounts receivable experience who enjoys variety, accuracy, customer interaction, and being part of a collaborative administrative team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will support the full AP and AR cycle, including customer purchase order processing, invoicing, payment posting, reconciliations, collections support, sales tax reporting, and administrative documentation. This is a great opportunity for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and ready to contribute in a developing administration department where process improvement, teamwork, and ownership are valued. Key Responsibilities
- Process customer purchase orders from receipt through estimates, invoicing, shipping paperwork, and related documentation.
- Manage accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, payment posting, collections monitoring, and customer account reconciliation.
- Support accounts payable and general accounting activities while maintaining accurate and organized financial records.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to payments, invoices, purchase orders, and customer accounts.
- Prepare bank deposits, assist with multi-state sales tax reporting, and communicate with internal teams to support smooth daily operations.
- Provide administrative support, including filing, archiving, document organization, and communication with administration, sales, and service teams. Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $25 to $28 per hour, depending on experience.
