This position will provide administrative, accounting/bookkeeping, and project support to help keep our construction projects and day-to-day office operations running smoothly. Construction industry experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate who has strong office, accounting/bookkeeping, and organizational skills. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Bookkeeping Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting support. Enter and organize invoices, bills, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions. Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable. Track vendor and subcontractor invoices and payments. Reconcile bank and credit card transactions. Help maintain accurate job costing and project financial records. Monitor outstanding invoices and assist with collections as needed. Maintain organized digital and physical financial records. Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, customers, and accounting professionals as needed. Construction & Project Support Assist with day-to-day project coordination. Maintain project files. Track project schedules, deadlines, materials, and outstanding items. Assist with preparing estimates and contracts. Help coordinate communication between office staff, project managers, field personnel, vendors, subcontractors, and customers. Maintain accurate project records and update spreadsheets/databases as needed. Follow up on outstanding tasks and help ensure deadlines are met. Assist with general project administration and office coordination. General Office Responsibilities Answer phones, respond to emails, and communicate professionally with customers and vendors. Maintain calendars, schedules, and appointments. Prepare correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, and other documents. Order and maintain office supplies. Assist with filing, data entry, scanning, and general office organization. Handle sensitive financial and company information with discretion. Take initiative to identify problems and help find solutions. Required Qualifications Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience is required. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with minimal supervision. Ability to meet deadlines and follow through on assignments. Professional, dependable, and positive attitude. Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial and company information. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with office staff, field employees, vendors, subcontractors, and customers. Preferred Qualifications QuickBooks experience strongly preferred. Project management or project coordination experience strongly preferred. Previous construction industry experience. Experience with construction accounting or job costing.
Pay:
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour
