Job Description

Job Summary:
The Dealership Posting Clerk is responsible for accurately recording and reconciling financial transactions related to vehicle sales, service, parts, and other dealership operations. This role ensures that all accounting entries are posted in a timely and accurate manner, supporting the dealership's financial integrity and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Post vehicle sales, wholesale deals, and dealer trades into the accounting system. Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable and payable. Assist with month-end closing procedures and reports. Verify and post journal entries and general ledger transactions. Communicate with sales, service, and parts departments to resolve discrepancies. File and maintain accounting documents and records. Support audits and internal reviews as needed. Perform other administrative and clerical duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred. Previous experience in automotive dealership accounting or clerical work is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and dealership management systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions:
Office environment within a dealership setting. May require extended hours during month-end or peak periods
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
