Job Description

Position Title:
Accounts Receivable Representative II Location:
Commerce, CA Schedule:
Full Time / Hours between 8am & 5pm.
Pay:
$23 -$26- Depending on

13 week assignment
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for generating and submitting timely health insurance billing claims and/or patient statements. Includes follow up on unpaid claims and resubmission of unpaid claim documents. Resolve disputes in contested billing and initiate collection of patient copayments, deductibles and open balance amounts through telephone contact, letters, etc.
Required Skills and Abilities:
1. Ability to read, write and speak in a clear and professional manner. 2. Ability to complete basic/intermediate math computations. 3. Excellent customer service skills and ability to resolve customer service issues and/or escalate to supervisor as needed. 4. Proficient in beginning/intermediate computer skills and Microsoft Office. 5. High degree of organization and strong attention to detail. 6. Accurate data entry, 10 key and typing. 7. Ability to follow and communicate complex instructions and directions. 8. Ability to plan, prioritize and multi-task. 9. Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement and billing procedures, CPT, HCPCS and ICD-9 coding, and medical terminology. 10. Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines including PHI privacy requirements. Specifications /
Experience:
1. High school graduate or equivalent required; Trade or Technical School certification preferred. 2. A minimum of three years billing and collection experience required; healthcare and/or business background strongly preferred. 3.
Bilingual:
English/Spanish preferred.
