Job Description
Accounting Assistant Overview TriSource Staffing is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support its finance team. This role is heavily focused on Accounts Payable, Bank Reconciliations, and General Ledger accounting, and candidates should have strong hands-on experience in these areas. Key Responsibilities Process accounts payable, including invoice matching, coding, data entry, approvals, check runs, and ACH payments Review AP batches for accuracy and resolve discrepancies Maintain vendor records, verify tax information, and assist with 1099 preparation Enter cash receipts and maintain accurate accounts receivable records Track delinquent accounts, collection activity, and repayment agreements Perform bank and account reconciliations and research discrepancies Prepare, enter, and post recurring and standard journal entries Prepare daily cash reports and process electronic bank deposits Maintain accurate General Ledger records and supporting documentation Assist with month-end close and other accounting activities Maintain organized electronic and physical accounting documentation Provide additional accounting and administrative support as needed Qualifications Approximately 3+ years of accounting experience or relevant college-level accounting coursework Strong experience with Accounts Payable, Bank Reconciliations, and General Ledger Knowledge of bookkeeping and general accounting principles Experience analyzing and reconciling financial records Proficiency with computerized accounting systems and Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work independently Strong communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
