Trucking / Transportation / Logistics We are a growing transportation group operating multiple companies and are looking for an experienced, organized, and fast-learning Bookkeeper / Accounting Specialist to join our Hesperia office. We currently operate approximately 5-6 business entities and use QuickBooks for our accounting. We are looking for someone who can help organize and maintain our books, clean up historical accounting issues, and prepare all companies for CPA review and tax filing. This is not just a basic data-entry bookkeeping position. We need someone who can understand the full financial picture, identify discrepancies, ask the right questions, and help build a clean and reliable accounting system. Responsibilities Manage bookkeeping for multiple LLCs/business entities Maintain and clean up QuickBooks accounts Categorize and review transactions Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards Reconcile QuickBooks balances against actual bank balances Review and correct historical bookkeeping discrepancies Manage intercompany transactions and Due To/Due From balances Maintain an organized Chart of Accounts Track Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Record and verify customer/broker payments and deposits Review invoices, bills, receipts, and vendor payments Assist with driver settlements and payroll verification Track owner-operator and contractor payments Track fuel, maintenance, repairs, tires, insurance, permits, and other fleet expenses Track expenses and profitability by truck/unit when required Assist with 1099 preparation and contractor records Maintain organized financial documents and supporting records Prepare monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, and other management reports Identify missing documents, incorrect transactions, and accounting discrepancies Work directly with management and our CPA Prepare clean, organized, and supportable books for year-end tax filing and CPA review Help improve accounting procedures, controls, and SOPs across our companies Required Skills QuickBooks experience — required Minimum 1+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience Strong bank and credit-card reconciliation experience Understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet, General Ledger, and Chart of Accounts Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Multi-company / multi-entity bookkeeping Payroll and contractor/1099 accounting Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills Ability to investigate and correct accounting discrepancies Strong document organization and recordkeeping High attention to detail Fast learner who can understand new systems and workflows quickly Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with multiple companies Strongly Preferred Previous bookkeeping/accounting experience with a trucking or transportation company Experience with driver settlements Owner-operator accounting Fuel and fleet expense accounting Truck maintenance and repair expense tracking Factoring and freight/customer payment reconciliation Multi-state trucking operations Experience preparing books for CPA review and tax filing Who We Are Looking For We want someone who does more than enter transactions. The right person should be able to open QuickBooks, review the accounts, recognize when something does not make sense, investigate the problem, and help correct it.

Pay:
$25.37 - $31.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
